For the past few years Aleah Marsden has taken care of social media for Living Bread and has written quite a bit for our blog and newsletters. For most of this time she was also in seminary and taking care of her family. Early this year she decided to downsize some things, increase her focus on others, and reluctantly stepped away from serving with Living Bread. We are excited for her and what lies ahead. We know the Lord will use her is a wonderful way. We are grateful for all that she and her family have done for us over the years.

With this change we did not rush into finding someone to take over Aleah’s responsibilities. We wanted the see how the Lord moved to fill the space that was opened. We ended up talking to someone we have known for a long time and who has been to Brazil and seen the work first hand. Makaela Gibson has a degree in Communications and a heart for ministry. We are excited to give her the opportunity to join the Living Bread team to help us tell the Living Bread story and develop her skills along the way.

We asked Makaela to share why she is excited to serve with Living Bread. She stated:

“Being the Communications Director for LBM is exciting and an honor. I remember well when Patrick and Bárbara prayed the start of LBM seventeen years ago. Seeing the work God has done with this ministry is inspiring. I have grown to love the Hubbards as a family. I value and trust them and their role in my life personally. Their hearts for the ministry have been encouraging to me over all these years and are impactful on so many levels. It truly is an honor to be a part of Living Bread and I look forward to all I will experience. ”

Please join us in welcoming Makaela to the team!

All our staff salaries are funded by raising support and our general donation fund. Please consider helping us keep Makaelas position and our other staff positions funded by supporting Living Bread!

When Patrick in Bárbara launched Living Bread Ministries in 2004 they had to embrace poverty. For several years their family lived well below the poverty level, diverting everything they could into sparking a church planting movement among the global poor. This is the encouraging story of how the Lord sustained them and ultimately established our comprehensive church planting ministries in South America and Southeast Asia.

Thank you!
