During Thanksgiving break 2021, I (Bárbara) had the pleasure of leading our first team since the pandemic on a short-term mission trip to Brazil. We were a small team of six and made up of mothers and daughters. This was a wonderful opportunity for mothers and daughters to serve together and minister to other families. The nature of the small team allowed us to have a more intimate connection with those we met and ministered with. During Thanksgiving break 2023, I led another mother/daughter team to Rio Grande do Sul. We served in our church plants and held workshops on pre-and post-natal care, postpartum depression, and lactation. Resources such as these are not available to families on the margins.

2023 also brought the opportunity to travel with a team from a long-time partner church.  We focused our time on the community this church has been investing in. The team served them in various ways, the young men on the team taught the kids how to throw an American football and we held workshops on the basics of posture and occupational therapy exercises they could do at home to improve their lives and those they care for.

As I head to Thailand this fall, one of the purposes of my trip is to assess and plan the logistics to take our first team to minister there. I am excited to visit our friends there and to serve alongside them.
