Guarita – On March 3, 2024, we celebrated another anniversary for our church plant in the NE of Rio Grande do Sul, Guarita (Torres). Our missionaries, Gilmar and Lizandra, praise God for the new families who are coming and joining the church. When they first started, theirs was the only family present in the church. Now, several families with young children attend regularly. The church in Guarita has been a blessing for the community, providing a safe haven for children and a community center where they can gather for community celebrations and workshops.
We are praying for ministry partners to help fund the purchase of a permanent location for Guarita.
Cabrobó – Our work in northeast Brazil is growing! After many years of faithful service to Living Bread Brazil and the works in the NE, Pastor Daniel has transitioned to a secular job. We have welcomed Davi as the new pastor in Cabrobó (Pernambuco, Brazil). Davi is no stranger to LBM; he served alongside Daniel as an apprentice and later transitioned to assist with the work in Ibó Abaré (Bahia). Davi, his wife Nataly, and their daughter are moving to Cabrobó, where they will serve full-time and continue working in Poço da Pedra (Bahia), a nearby community just across the state line.
The work in Cabrobó has radically changed. With the help of our generous ministry partners, we were able to purchase a lot and build a small church. We are now erecting a brick wall and placing a gate for the safekeeping of the property. Now that we own our building, we can improve how we serve the community and expand our vision for ministry.
