Our church in Torres, Brazil has had some great opportunities to serve in their community recently!
Pastor Artenio and his wife Lu work hard to build strong, positive relationships with families in the areas around their church location in Torres, a coastal town with lots of poverty and problems with drugs and violence.
Though their ministry is often unwelcome by people who have been mistreated in the name of benevolence in the past, they persevere in meeting practical needs and sharing the love of Christ. Recently, Artenio and Lu and other workers from their church were able to provide soup and bread to 230 people in need in two different neighborhoods near their church location. They blessed three local families with the leftovers from their soup ministry that day.
We’re so thankful for Artenio and Lu and our other church planters and all their hard work for the sake of the Gospel. Please keep them and their ministry in prayer!
