Vini, a member of our church plant in Vila Nova, volunteers to teach Judo after school at the church. He uses this as an outreach for youth in the neighborhood. He does a devotion prior to each class. There are 15 students meeting regularly. Recently, two of the boys entered a local tournament and did really well, both winning their weight class. The Judo project helps the church provide activities for the kids to keep them from getting into trouble. It also helps them develop confidence and learn self-defense.
